Vag com mac11/12/2023 ![]() ![]() The BMW community would certainly benefit from a couple of individuals/companies that built tools for end-user diag/checks imo. I'll also echo we're spoiled by all the Audi/VW toolsets out there for the cars. Extract and Open the CDM 2.08.30 WHQL Certified for VAG 409.1 folder that you downloaded. Windows will automatically detect the interface and attempt to find the correct drivers. I don't want to have to buy another cable either, doubt it will work but guess we won't know until we try. Now plug the VAG-COM 409.1 USB cable into your PC. I haven't tried it yet on my car because I am in the process of installing the needed software, Windows on my Mac, etc. Both crash on vag-com startup, but only if the device is actually plugged in. not my coding but i did think it would be nice to share. Gives you same power as VAG companies towards their own cars. Does anyone familiar with the Audi VCDS cable and coding software (which, btw, Audi's are loads easier and more enjoyable to code figured I'd add my $.02 there), know if that same cable will work for BMW coding? The cable is a Dual-K + CAN cable, has the same pins, etc. ![]()
